Campsites At Bryce – North and Sunset

Bryce Canyon National Park is considered to be one of the most popular destinations among local and foreign tourists. With its majestic and natural landscape, it has a lot to offer to its guests apart from sightseeing. Bryce Canyon is also a perfect spot for those who want to set-up their camp, spend time with loved ones and be one with the beauty of nature.

The national park has two campgrounds including the North and Sunset. Both of these campgrounds have convenient locations as they are near the visitor center. Enjoy your camping activity without having to worry about the heat of the sun as the camping ground is shaded by ponderosa pines adding more beauty to the view. These two camping locations are also located near the Bryce Amphitheater.

The North and Sunset Campground

The North Campground features four loops with about 99 sites. This campground is perfect for both tent campers and RV campers. Loops A and B are designated for RV Campers while Loops C and D are designed for tent campers. For RV campers, you have to make a reservation. Check out the dates through the official website www.recreation.gov for more information and details.

The Sunset Campground features 20 tent sites including a group site. You can also make a reservation so you can be sure that there is a spot for you in the campground. You can easily place your reservation in advance. Given the two choices, which one is the better choice? It actually depends. The North Campground is located much nearer to the general store as well as the visitor center. What is nice with the North Campground is that you can have a coin op shower or you can also do your laundry especially during summer.

Camping at both of these locations is easy since they both have restrooms with flush toilets. Although there is no hook-up, you can use a dump station for a fee. Just be reminded that the sites are restricted to about 10 people. During peak season, you can expect a heavy influx of tourists. The cost of a camping site is $15 per night. You can also avail discounts if you have special park passes.
